The Traffic Injury Research Foundation has developed a systems approach to bridge gaps and build partnerships among agencies and practitioners that are affected by road crashes.
Knowledge transfer and skill development are critical features of these initiatives. Guided by TIRF’s proven Knowledge Transfer model (KT), these programs are designed for the purposes of training, train-the-trainer, and more generally speaking, the education of frontline practitioners as part of the lifelong learner philosophy.

It addresses the most common myths and misconceptions to increase awareness of ways to prevent and avoid wildlife-vehicle collisions, including mitigation measures and prevention strategies.

This web-resource includes free posters and PSAs, flashcards and fact sheets about vehicle safety features that are standard on most vehicles, and how they can prevent crashes and injuries when combined with safe driving practices.
Community-Based Toolkit for Road Safety Campaigns is a free user-friendly toolkit to guide community efforts in developing effective campaigns specifically targeted to local audiences and focused on the road safety priorities posing the greatest concern. It contains a series of issue-specific fact sheets on campaign effectiveness and development, stakeholder engagement, pedestrian safety, alcohol-impaired driving, young drivers, messaging, branding, social media and evaluation.
Alcohol Interlock Curriculum for Practitioners is a training tool that enables criminal justice, health and transportation professionals, as well as advocates and community members to educate colleagues about alcohol ignition interlocks.
